Today im gonna talk again about creating mini sites. As you may remember on my previous post,  i reviewed a tool calle commonsense Cms, and how easy was to create mini sites.

I found today a free script called RSSMini 1.3, and it’s just great! You copy the files to your host, edit 3-4 lines of the config.php and bang! A complete mini site.

What will you have? 9 pages automatically generated according with they keyword you choose. You can edit site’s colors easily, and it’s easy to add your advertising.

For all you guys trying to find good niche for your site keyword tools like the overture keyword selector tool… but wouldn’t be great to gather all in one place sites like yahoo and google, so that you could have a total of searches of your selected keywords? well i found a site called SeoBook that offers a tooljust like that! Search engines, and specially google, tend to penalise sites with duplicate content. And this happens a lot. To check that just visit http://copyscape.com and do a search on any of your sites to see if you have duplicate content.

If you have a mini site then you probably did a “copy & past” from another site or article, like i did on my mini site: http://dietsforall.com

I did a search and i got two results.  But im sure there’s more copies, but unfortunately copyscape.com only shows more results if you purchase a premium account :\

You have several ways to build a mini site.

One of them is to create a site from an html template or creating one from scratch, or you can create a blog for the purpose.

And another one is to install a CMS script (content management script). There’s hundreds of cms free of charge to download, but not all are the best options. I’ve tried cms like e107, xoops, joomla, phpwebsite and so on, but none were created intentionaly to serve as mini sites easily. well, i found the CommonSense CMS script that is free to download and can help you creating mini sites.

yep, that’s right, blog contests seem to be a new and cool way to bring traffic, and mostly share the wealth earned with these sites.

Not all webmasters are money greedy and they don’t mind to share a little bit of wealth on their hard earned bucks from spending countless hours posting quality topics, and i like to see these kind of contests, and everyday there’s more and more contests! hell, if my blogs were profitable i would do these kinds of contests!

i received an email from this company telling that they are closing down their business.

Bidclix was like many other site a context(?) ads publisher, like bidvertiser, clicksor and so on. Recently they were bought by aQuantive family. And, as in must cases, it’s naturall they close the recently bought business to re open, or join forces to another established business.

Well, the bottom line is that they asked me to verify my account in order to receive my payment. well my surprise was that i have money to collect there! it’s not much but it is money! lol i used this feed only in test sites, and i never paid much atention to it, but it generated me some bucks… now the question is will they really pay me?
