In the last week, i decided to try to convert some wordpress themes to use with Bans. I wanted to do this, because of two reasons:
First I didn’t want to depend on others to get the themes i wanted to use on my wordpress/bans sites and secondly there is an high demand for this type of integration and very few themes available.
So, after learning how to convert wordpress themes to be used on bans sites at mark’s blog, i decided to try for my self. The process itself is somewhat simple, but i decided to go first with some simple themes and then head over to more complicated themes. I have to confess that this process is a bit addicting, and im thinking that now that i have more spare time, i will be doing some serious conversions! lol.
There are some themes that i want to convert but i have stumbled with some issues that i need to correct and i haven’t discovered the solutions for them…. :\
I want to share with you some of the conversions i’ve made. The themes used are simple, nothing out of extraordinary, but i am sure they will fit the needs of some of you.

These themes are free to use. All zip’s come with a readme file with instructions on what you need to change to make the theme work correctly. If you have any doubt on how to install them feel free to ask for support here, and if you find any bug then please do tell me.
The themes are free, but i ask to please maintain the credits of the theme placed at the footer. Removing them goes against the TOS in which they have been released to the public.
I plan to continuously release more themes, some will be free, some will be available only to feed subscribers, others wil cost something. Let’s see how things go.

bans doesn’t seem to be working too well anymore
well, google declared war so bans…. that is why many choose to transform their websites into wp-bans sites
I think there’s a new plugin now that pulls ebay feeds like bans does just by inserting some code into WP - I’m going to try it out now, so I’ll let you see how that goes

I wonder, are BANS shops really so cool? Isn\’t that easy to create simple wordpress blog with right set of plugins? I\’ve seen some themes which could be very cool for stores…
in terms of wordpress integration phpbaypro is better. it is a specific plugin for wordpress. but i prefer bans in the way it manages the store.
Creating a wp/bans site is harder but it is fun.
Can you tell me what themes you think are good for stores?
For example, eGallery Theme. I think every gallery theme is OK because they usually have nice functions for small thumbnail previews which you easily can adapt.
egallery is a good theme for sites that manage templates and themes. For a shop i don’t think it is a very good theme, but it is an acceptable one

Hi: The themes are great. I installed “Peaceful Rush” and it uploaded fine. But it’s not actually integrating. When I went to change the theme from default, I get this message:

hi Mia. Thanks for downloading and use the theme.
Make sure you wrote the correct address in the theme sidebar.php.
In your case the file inc-store-menu couldn’t be found. The address you wrote may be wrong. For what i could understand your correct address is http://mywebsite.com/shop/inc-store-menu.php but you are using mywebsite.com/shop/wordpress/shop/ins-store-menu.php

OMG, Hugo, I must have looked at your reply about 50 times and it just didn’t click. But what you said was right! Dave (Soggy) on the BANS forum took a look at the code after I gave him the login details and I just needed to change the address.
Now when I look at your answer, it makes perfect sense!

I downloaded \”pink love\” and installed it. Everything is great, except that when I click on the ebay store links on the blog, it connects to a full bans template. Any idea how I just bring up the auction listings without the complete template?
