A. Bailey Plumbing - FIVE SIMPLE WAYS TO SAVE MONEY

by Chris Bailey, Master Plumber and Owner of A. Bailey Plumbing & Heating

Avoid high pressure showers: Too much pressure can be stressful, not just on yourself, but on your plumbing system too! High pressure showers not only cost more because of the extra water running down the drain, but too much force can actually wear on your fixtures. 60 – 80 psi is the recommended pressure. Anything higher may be costing you money.

Address leaky faucets immediately: Leaky faucets are more than an annoyance—they costing you money! A slow but steady drip can waste almost 50 gallons of water a day. Over the course of a year, that adds up to 18,250 gallons. And speaking of faucets, the latest styles are more than attractive. Look for new models that are designed to conserve water. You can use up to a 1/3 less water, depending on the faucet you choose.

Pay attention to foul odor when you turn on the hot water: It’s NOT hip to be funky when it comes to your water. If your water gives off a foul odor during the first few minutes of running the hot tap, it could be due to a faulty anode rod in your water heater. If the anode rod goes, corrosion results, which can eat away at the inside of your tank. Replacing the rod will extend the life of your water heater.

A running toilet could indicate a leak: Here’s a quick and easy way to test it yourself. Place a few drops of food coloring, powdered drink mix, or instant coffee in the TANK, not the bowl. Leave it undisturbed for 20 minutes. When you come back, check out the BOWL. It there’s any discoloration, you’ve got a confirmed leak.

Do you have repeated clogged drains? Snaking may no longer be the best solution. You may need high velocity water jetting to clear out all the clogs. At 4000 psi, this process literally blasts away years of accumulated scale, debris, hair, and grease build-up on the inside walls of the pipes, clearing them of blockages and avoiding pipe replacement.

Carmack Moving - TIPS FOR REDUCING THE STRESS OF A MAJOR MOVE

by Robert Carmack, Carmack Moving and Storage

Some of life’s simplest problems can end up being the biggest bother to solve. When it comes to moving, think simple. While professional movers such as Carmack Moving and Storage offer direction on how to plan for a move, it is still best to also think things through yourself. Once everything is packed up and ready to load, make sure the things you will need least are loaded on to the truck first. Simple common sense is needed when loading the truck. Place the box containing things like your best dishes on top of the box of books and not vice versa.

Think about the things you’ll need the first night in your new home. Pack items that serve your basic needs in a separate bag and carry it with you. Think about eating. Will your appliances be hooked up right away? Will there be a place to store food when you get there? You may even want to prepare a simple meal that you can heat and serve on your first night.

Remember to set aside items for each night you are in transition like clothes, a towel, prescription drugs, a toothbrush, and other personal items. Pack these in your car or somewhere that you can access them easily. And don’t forget plastic utensils, paper plates, paper towels, plastic cups, toilet paper, toiletries, trash bags, hand tools, a flashlight, first aid kit including pain relievers, pencil and paper, snacks, beverages, and re-closeable plastic bags.

Keep the stress level down. Take thirty minutes in the beginning of your move and address the simple issues. Thinking the basics through can avoid all of the oops! moments that can occur.

Robert Carmack is the owner of Carmack Moving and Storage located in Chantilly, Virginia. With more then thirty years of experience in light hauling, local moving, regional moving and long haul national moving operations Mr. Carmack shares his insights from years of experience and overseeing thousands of moves. SIX WAYS CREDITORS MAY DISCOVER YOUR ASSETS

By Matthew C. Mullhofer

Matthew C. Mullhofer has been practicing law since 1999, and has owned and operated the Law Office of Matthew C. Mullhofer, PC since 2000. The goal of ProtectMyAssets.com is to provide professional legal services to the clients of Matthew C Mullhofer.

In this article he shares some important concepts about how you can protect your assets.

First of all, don’t rely on secrecy or concealment to prevent creditors from learning about your assets.  You can be forced to testify under oath, and if you attempt to deny you will be committing the crime of perjury. You should also remember that with the use of computers and investigations, these days it is not difficult for creditors to locate assets, even those that have been held overseas.

Matthew Mullhofer adds that it is important, however, to remember that you are only required to disclose assets if a creditor obtains a judgment against you, when you are sued for punitive damages (and assets are relevant to the award), or when litigation involves the fraudulent conveyance and the assets are relevant to the discovery.

Creditors entitled to discovery of a debtor’s assets have great discretion in their examination and procedures. Spouses can also be forced to disclose their finances to a judgment creditor even if they aren’t involved in the litigation. Additionally, insurance companies may be required to disclose information about your assets to judgment creditors.

A WHITE WEDDING ISN’T COMPLETE WITHOUT A WHITE SMILE

By Gregory J. Daniels DDS

A mentor to many, Dr. Gregory J. Daniels DDS FAGD, has practiced dentistry with distinction for more than 30 years. Services at Dr. Gregory J. Daniels’ Hinsdale, IL practice include reconstructive repair, cosmetic dentistry and implants as well as oral-health maintenance for the entire family. Gregory J Daniels DDS has been a member of the Academy of General Dentistry for over 20 years and is also a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD).

A bride-to-be wants everything perfect on her wedding day – the weather, her flowers, the dress — and even her smile.

According to a nationwide study conducted by the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD), 96% of adults believe that a beautiful smile makes a person more appealing to the opposite sex. So if you have thought about enhancing your smile, the perfect time to do it is before you walk down the aisle.

Here’s some important things Gregory J Daniels suggests you consider before a smile consultation with an AACD member cosmetic dentist:

  • Expect the dentist to recommend a comprehensive examination before any treatment begins. The dentist should be able to assess all aspects of your dental health and the potential longevity of your proposed cosmetic treatment.
  • Be sure to find a dentist who will take the time to consult with you before treatment begins. Be prepared to discuss what changes you would like to make to achieve a beautiful smile.
  • Ask to see the dentist’s before-and-after photographs of actual patients.
  • Make sure the dentist is an active member of the AACD, and ask how they keep up-to-date with new techniques and technology.

And then get ready to smile and enjoy your wedding day!

Dr. Gregory J. Daniels is an AACD member cosmetic dentist practicing in Hinsdale, Illinois. For patient consultations, please contact Gregory J Daniels DDS at  630-655-8815.

WebHosting Geeks

Posted by admin On May - 11 - 2009

WebHosting Geeks is a hosting review site like many others around, but with a difference. This is one of the biggest review sites and to prove that, they have a Page Rank of 6 to show off.

Sure, they have a page rank of 6 but can we trust a Hosting Review Site like this that it is here for the money?

First of all, we are all here for the money right? But is this site reliable? Well. I changed server recently and before i choose what new hosting company i consulted review sites like WEbHosting Geeks to see what others say about my potential choices. Now that i have chosen a company i decided to give them a new visit and see what they say about my new hosting company.

After filtering the too good and to bad reviews that some users like to write i found some useful reviews that i agree. Found many users expressing their feelings about our hosting in a correct way, sharing the same opinion has i currently have about my hosting..  You just need to know what to discard.

Bottom line. Webhosting Geeks reviews are mainly done by site visitors that like to share their hosting experiences., and fortunately, their user database is big giving us more reviews about a particular hosting and increasing the probability of us finding honest reviews.

But WebHosting Geek is just not a hosting review site. There you can find useful posts related to hosting such has “Starting your business through reseller hosting” or “Free control Panel for your server”. These two particular interested me because i have a reseller account ;)

Again, i will give you the same advice as i always do. Before buying new webhosting, consult review sites like WeebHosting Geeks. Learn to find the real reviews and make your choice. :)
