The adventure of making money online!

Create Unique content in seconds

Posted by admin On September - 11 - 2008

We all know that to succeed in getting traffic from search engines, and specially from google, unique content is the gold ticket for it.

So, webmasters in general, and bloggers in particular spend hours writing unique content  for their sites/blogs to get some traffic from search engines.

The process is long and tedious, and some simply don’t have the patience to do this. If there is money available, then hiring someone to write for you is an option. After all, it isn’t that expensive, and the results are good (if you hire a good writer).

What if, there is a way to get unique content the easy, fast way? And specially free?

Unique Content in less than a minute

We will achieve this using translators. But how?

First lets get our hands on an article we are interested.

Second we use a translation site/software that we like. (I would recommend to stay away from babelfish. It sucks big time. I prefer the google translation tool).

What we are going to do is to paste the article into one of these tools and translate it to several languages and finally translate it back to English.

An example of translation cycle could be this: English->Portuguese->French->German->English

After the cycle is over you should confirm the final text is original.

Confirm the uniqueness of your text

A tool that i like to use from time to time is Copyscape. This site will crawl the web to find any text that matches yours. It will even highlight pieces of text that are the same. Do this and decide if it is unique enough for your, or do the translation cycle again.

After all this, congratulations. You have your unique content in less than a minute!

I often find articles that are duplicated on thousands of sites. Yesterday i came across a website that was selling already established sites with more than 1000 articles. Did a check on the examples and no article was original!

Optimize your content

This is a mandatory step, and will take you some time to do (not that much).

Copyscape may have said that your content was unique but if you read it there are some parts that don’t make any sense!! This is very truth if you used BabelFish.

This was something to be expected. But relax. Now is up to you. Just change some words to make the wrong phrases to make some sense, and since you are doing that, why not reinforce the keywords you want?

Conclusion

Unique content is not that hard to have using this “technique”. Copyscape say its unique and i believe it.But if you do this i just ask that you give credit to the original author. You can just write something like:

“Based on Hugo Santos article. Available at: http://bloggervenue.com”

It gives credit to the right person, he will be happy, and you are happy :p.

Since i have said this, i must say that i have learned this from Scot at Revvenue.com

Hugo, while I agree with you that people love good content as does Google I reckon that the only way that google recognizes good content is via the amount of links to a post, and even then it is an assumption. The Google Bots themselves wouldn’t recognize good content if the fell right into it.

I’ve used those translation sites to translate between English and Italian and all I can say is that they all suck. I much prefer to write original content on my own. Nice idea though.

i agree with you. after creating the content what it matters is the number of links, that is when you need to start doing your link building strategy..

I was surprised on how google translator managed to do the job at a very acceptable level. really.

I have read about this before on another blog but this is still interesting. The only downside is you have to edit the article. :(

    BTW, thanks for the link!

it is just a tiny negative aspect. we don’t want the reader to hit the back button in a second. we want them to stay long enough to click on ads ;)

Hey Hugo glad you liked the trick, how has it worked out for you?

I just checked out the “copyspace” tool site, and did a few checks on my blog content using the tool, and I it’s quite a handy tool, but I’m a bit skeptical over the few results it pulls, makes me wonder of how thorough does it search.

indeed. and that’s just wrong. it sucks for someone to put in the time and effort to create original content, only to find it plastered on some other blog, purported to be written by that other blogger.

    it’s just wrong.

That’s not accurate though, Hugo. Ranking well in Google isn’t about unique content; it’s about links. I could copy your content word for word, put it on a site with more links pointing to it, and outrank you very quickly. Unique content is good, but quality content spurs people to link to it and is thus far superior.

I agree with you, but how to get more links to pointing to a blog post? Any smart yet simple method you would share here?

      • Shane says:

I include a lot of tips on my blog, but here are a few that have worked well for me:

        - Include links to others’ blog posts in yours and make sure they get a trackback.

        - Say something nice about a blogger that they’ll want to link to to show their own readers.

        - Comment on blogs that use the CommentLuv plugin.

        - When commenting on other blogs, try to include a link back to a post of yours if it’s highly relevant to your comment.

I honestly don’t have a huge problem with this from an SEO perspective. Probably doesn’t generate the best user value but that isn’t always the goal (despite what some people may believe). There are lots of ways to do what you suggest above. There are even wordpress plugins out there that will scrape content for any subject you desire, randomize the content a bit and throw in synonyms for words…thus making you “unique” content and you can create dozens of posts within seconds.
