I honestly don’t have a huge problem with this from an SEO perspective. Probably doesn’t generate the best user value but that isn’t always the goal (despite what some people may believe). There are lots of ways to do what you suggest above. There are even wordpress plugins out there that will scrape content for any subject you desire, randomize the content a bit and throw in synonyms for words…thus making you “unique” content and you can create dozens of posts within seconds.

I include a lot of tips on my blog, but here are a few that have worked well for me:

- Include links to others’ blog posts in yours and make sure they get a trackback.

- Say something nice about a blogger that they’ll want to link to to show their own readers.

- Comment on blogs that use the CommentLuv plugin.

- When commenting on other blogs, try to include a link back to a post of yours if it’s highly relevant to your comment.

Ranking well in Google isn't about unique content; it's about links. I could copy your content word for word, put it on a site with more links pointing to it, and outrank you very quickly. indeed. and that’s just wrong. it sucks for someone to put in the time and effort to create original content, only to find it plastered on some other blog, purported to be written by that other blogger.

I just checked out the “copyspace” tool site, and did a few checks on my blog content using the tool, and I it’s quite a handy tool, but I’m a bit skeptical over the few results it pulls, makes me wonder of how thorough does it search.
