Thanks for the interesting post. I run a big forum myself and if you ask me it is very important to make users like the forum. Don’t use too many ads or they will quickly leave again… Try to be as user friendly as possible and perhaps even disable ads for registered members .

I wouldn’t recommend the “pop up” ads to anyone. They are flippin annoying and can’t understand how come they not banned yet. The best is “piad subscriptions” and “PPC”. CPM is also a great option, but has the most minimum payment.

Great Point. Well ye probably you can make much more money with a forum. On the other hand it seems to be a longer way than a blog! And about PPC ads I would say clever Google their ads could go anywhere on the net.
