Does size matter?

First, i will let you wonder what kind of post is this (lol) and i will mention a bit of my past days.

I know i said my holidays where almost here, and in fact, they have arrived. But my days are like this:

I get up at 8 am to be at the library at 9, and then i arrive home only at 5pm or 6 pm. The final essay (thesis to be more exact) as reached a point where we can’t pass an obstacle, and to complicate my coordinator is on vacation!! And all these hours researching are taking my breath away and when i arrive home i only want to eat, get myself on bed and watch a movie. You can’t imagine how stressed i am to watch others on vacations…. bahh! lol

Ok, now for the real post, my post title is Does size matter?

No, im not asking an opinion about dicks or tits sizes, i let that to the proper discussion blogs or foruns, but i am asking if size does matter on images.

The last post i have made hear was about 5 reasons you should do paid reviews, and i decided to do a little test inside that post.

I used a big image on the top of the post (590×590), which took a decent amount of space on the screen. I am very aware of the potential negative aspects of having such big image on a post, such as slow loading times, the image could be a distraction factor and hide the text which is what i want to people read and so on.

But even taking in consideration this an more i decided to try because i am a stubborn guy and i like to try things.

I find the image interesting, although i think it was a little to big but….i asked a short review by some of my friends and the feedback was good. I made the topic even more interesting and made them want to scroll down to see what was all that about. Off course i had some opinions saying that the image was to big. we can never please everybody :)

Now, it is time i ask you the same. What do you think of using bigger sized images on posts like i did on my previous post?

A picture says more than 1000 words! Many people can read and grab or perceive more from a detailed photo than to a text. But you ask about whether larger size photo is suitable or not to appear within a post. In my opinion sure they can why not. Posts with such image as you used will bring an interesting change for the blog readers. If the attention should lead to a text accompanying an foto then a thumbnail preview of a large(r) image might be another way; probably more common if the original photo was intended to show some more details. And thumbnails also download faster.

First- I loved the picture of the restroom.

Second- Size does matter. I think that the larger picture took away from the previous post. With that pic taking up a lot of the screen all I could see were images and ads which makes the site look cheap and fake. I’d stick with a smaller size.

if you can get something funny then go for it :)

the conclusion i take from this experience is that considerable sized images are good, but we have to find what is the maximum size we should use.in this case, if the image was a bit smaller the result could be better

i don’t think the size of the image does matter. just that sometimes too big an image might cause misalignment of blog layout when view in IE 6.
