Smorty - What i don’t like

Smorty is one of the best paid reviews site around, and i have been using it (not much) for a while. But i already have some thoughts that i would like to share with you.

I think Smorty penalises too much, bloggers that for some reason don’t write the review in time, or make some kind of mistake inputting the post address. This happened to me.

In this last couple of months i have been full of work, and i had time for nothing. In one of these days i decided to reserve an opportunity because i had some spare time.  But, the time i had to write the review was needed to someting else, more important, and the next days were also crazy. So the time (3 days) i had to write the review passed, and when i logged in i had a penalization of 250 points from my overall score!

2 days ago, i wrote a review, i wrote the blog domain without the www, which game a message error telling me that this was not my blog address.

Solution? i wrote the blog address with the www.

Consequence of this mistake?

My score went down by 83 points!!!

I sincerely advise Smorty  to consider these kind  of penalizations.  I agree with them, because there’s the need to differentiate bloggers, but with reasonable deduction of points…

Just my 2 cents.

well. that’s bad news for you. i would write the review while the problem is not fixed. so you dont loose too much time writing it after the problem being fixed. then tell me how it went for you

Hey, it’s me again. I figured it out that I can cancel pending tasks. There is a “remove” link. I clicked it before my time’s up. I just hope they won’t deduct my current points because of that but I saw my score is still the same.

oh btw, i also have reviewme account. I also had a mistake with the WWW thing on the advertiser’s link and they told me to edit it and submitted it again and it’s okay now.

You just have to be careful in their rules or guidelines in posting your sponsored posts.

yeah. there is the remove option, but in my case, with the work i had, i haven’t the time to cancel the review. But anyway. glad you cancelled it in time. :)

Don’t know why, but my blog was rejected without the www, but with the www it was accepted…lol

Hi, anyone still receiving tasks from smorty recently? I have not heard from them since I joined, just wondering how are things with the rest of you?

they don’t send email alerts at all. at least to me. you need to login frequently to see if they have something for you to grab.

Smorty is a great program despite the fact that it has quite a strict policy. One can make money with its affiliate program as well.
