Today i decided to check on their website and surprise (not!) the site is down.

Agloco, the promising get paid to company failed to get a new owner with new ideas to monetise the company. This was somewhat, a desperate attempt to avoid the inevitable.

The concept dies…..

In my previous post i speculated about the future of agloco. My concerns are confirmed because i have just received this email from agloco:

We would like to update you on the status of AGLOCO’s operations. We continue to believe in the AGLOCO concept, but our revenue is currently not sufficient to give Members a meaningful distribution. And though there are increases in membership, the resulting revenue is not enough to support operating costs. As a development team we are unable to continue to use our savings to fund the operations. If any Member would like to pursue continuing the operations of AGLOCO, you may contact us at agloco1@live.com .

 

We would like to thank every Member for supporting our effort to bring a piece of the Internet directly to the user. We hope that we can find a way to keep the operations going.

Im not saying that i am surprised, for the contrary. Their revenue wasn’t good, and they said it this summer, and since then no more updates, the recent downtimes were a sign. I don’t see no future, mainly because the members don’t use the bar, wich is the main source of revenue for agloco. It was a good concept, but it is not working.

The death of agloco as come….. or there still hope?

Yesterday i reported to you that agloco was offline, and no info was given. The situation seems to be fixed (Whatever it was), but there is no feedback at the site nor the blog. in fact, agloco’s blog isn’t updated since october. Im not confortable with this, a company like this should have  regular updates, and now with these downtimes, hum… it does not smell well to me.

My referrals seem to have quit agloco, because they have navigated with agloco bar a total of 0.7 hours….

Things looked well for agloco imho, but now…. what’s is happening?

While i wait for my lunch to finish being prepared i decided to visit agloco site and use the toolbar (i haven’t used it in more than a month lol). But the surfbar was weird. Constantly reinitiating. It kept changing places, up and down, The site is offline and i can’t tell if for long time or not. Maybe it is just a server upgrade? some scheduled downtime? i don’t know, i haven’t received any mail regarding this…..
