Top 100 Blogs

UPDATED IN 31st JULY

After the last page rank update, im sure many of you started to search and bookmark blogs that can give yours some link juice to help increase your status. Some bloggers made an interesting point regarding page ranks updates or created a list of some blogs that have tools to help you get some link juice.

Everyone loves lists of some kind, so i decided to make a dynamic top 100 list. for dofollow blogs  or give some kind of link juice to its visitors. I say dynamic because this list will get updated weekly.

After trying to make the list of blogs that give some link juice i faced a problem, many blogs that used the so called plugins that give link juice, place in fact no follow links. So i decided to make a new approach for the list, and now it will accept blogs up to 1000 rss subscribers

The top 100 Small-medium sized blogs list will take in consideration 3 factors: Page Rank, Technorati Rank and User Voting Ranking.

To belong in this list, all sites need to meet the following requirement

1- The blog needs to have an rss subscription base up to 1000 subscribers

2- The Blog must belong to the following niches:

  • Make Money Online;
  • SEO;
  • Internet Marketing;
  • Blogging Tips;
  • Any Similar niche;

3- The blog must be in English.

The blogs that manage to reach the 1000 rss readers marks will get a mention here and will get some link juice.

I have already compiled a list of blogs, and i will be adding more blogs in the next days.

Now, you can help me. If you own a blog that meets the requirements mentioned above, then contact me using the contact page saying that you want your blog included in the Top 100 List.

I just need you to give me the blog address and an anchor text, preferably no more than 4-5 words.

There is another way you can help me. You can vote on the blogs from 1 to 5 stars. This way, you can make a difference on the ranking, and this list gets different from any other that may be around, like the top 100 list from 45n5.

Hope you find this tool useful in someway, and help spread the word :p

Bahh, it is only the beggining of the week but i feel like it was the end of it… im tired, im sleepy…. how could a day of work let me like this??? damn it…

It is accumulating… i need vacation. I need to dedicate myself to blogging to stress out (yes, blogging keeps the stress away :)), to do projects that are left behind… if all goes well i will manage to do this in a couple of weeks….

Anyway, remember my post regarding Ian, that was selling is life? Well, it turns out that the selling value didn’t reach the values i expected but still, a decent amount was made - AU 399,300 USD. Some of the biggest bids were cancelled. You don’t imagine the amount of bids that were cancelled saying that made a mistake bidding… lol

Now, the auction has ended, and Ian walked out of his ex-house with only his wallet, the next step is ready to be made…. Guess what is it?

Have you checked it out? Crazy right? Total freedom. Hehe…

Good luck Ian!

Ok, it is the end of the month (it seems that time fly’s) and as usual i will show you the list of the top commentators. They benefit from some link juice from commenting and a link in all pages for being the top commentators, besides a mention in a post!

So ere are the top commentators for June:

Keep commenting ;)

Btw, this is a dofollow blog, some months ago i said i was considering taking out the dofollow from comments, and only let the top commentators as dofollow. And i have been thinking about it regularly, and it seems that bloggers are changing towards nofollow blogs

Again, im considering it, but considering it slowly…. :p

Im in the middle of my work, but things are a bit quiet for the moment and i decided to take a moment and write a review that is due for some time now.

Today’s post will be a review about thewwwblog, which was a prize i recently sponsored at thenetfool’s outrageous contest.

Thewwwblog is run by Chetan Bhawani a dental student in India. He has a series of well established sites that go from dental and health issues to SEO and money making.

Thewwwblog is half year age. It was created on December 25, 2007. Christmas time! Nice date to start a blog. Maybe to work as a talisman? Judging by his feed count (152) i would say things are going great for him!

This blog covers several issues like SEO, social bookmarking, blogging tips and has some interesting posts in the case studies category, like Digitalpoint forums - A money maker for webmasters

The blog is well organized and has interesting posts, easy to read, which is very important, up to date and regular posts.

As you can see for yourself this is an active blog, not because of what i have mention in the previous paragraph, but because of the number of comments in each post, although this is a nofollow blog (Which i don«’t consider a negative aspect).

Recently, Chetan changed to blog template, that im not very fond of… It is better than the previous one, but to gray for my taste. There are better options around.

Other thing i would change is the banner at the top of the blog, probably an ad would be a better idea. Also, the in text ads color from Kontera make the readability poor in some places. Dark blue with a dark gray background don’t match.

Besides the Making money niches (most know as MMO blogs) there are other kinds of blogs we should read, one of these blogs is Stylish Design, which is a Web design blog.

Stylish design is a blog run by Robert and Andrei that focus on web designing and related stuff to that subject. You can find information about search engine optimization and web directories, but also, CSS and website templates.

With the recent Google page rank update, there are some articles that you might find useful, such as “Fighting for more page rank” or “You can never find out the true PageRank”.

These are just a few articles in this blog that I read, but I found more interesting posts, which I will let you to discover.

I have found this site (don’t remember where sorry!) 2 days ago, and i have found it very interesting.

What this site does is simulate the human vision.

Confused? Don’t be. It’s actually very simple.

They have a program that analyses an image sent by you, or a website. After the analysing is complete, it will show a heat map that tries to simulate how the human eye will look at your image or website!

Here is the heat map for this blog:
Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.us

Has you can see, the spots where the human eye is supposed to look at are surround with a yellow circle with a number in it. The numbers may represent the order the human uses to cycle through the site. I’m not sure of this because i failed to find info about this on their website.

This tool can be a great addition when you create a website, or plan to optimize it a bit. You can see where are people looking at, and make the necessary changes.

As you can see on my heatmap. Blog.dahh.net users pay attention to our 125×125 ad buttons, and to the feature article image. First, i draw attention to an important part of the site (the ads), making a good investment to all of you, potential advertisers on this site. You may not get the thousand clicks you want :p, but your brand will surely be noticed. So, grab a piece of the attention by buying an 125×125 ad here ;).

And second, but also very important, my site draws attention to the featured article, increasing greatly it’s exposure ( want to guest post here?).

In conclusion, this is a great tool for you to use, or just to for curiosity purposes. The algorithm off course is not 100% accurate. Simulating a human behaviour is very difficult, but possible.

To finalise, i want to wish all my readers a great easter (if you celebrate it) or just a fantastic weekend to you all. :)
