Why im quitting adgridwork

Posted by admin On December - 18 - 2007

A long time ago, i have mentioned an opportunity to have free text advertsing like google adsense or bidvertiser on your blogs. I have been using adgridwork on this blog, but unfortunately, with poor results.

Let me show you:
Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.us

As you can see i had almost 15000 displays of my ad on other websites, but only generated 15 clicks to my site! this represents a 0.07% CTR, it is very very low. IT’s a terrible waste of space in my honest opinion.

Although, i had poor results, it doesn’t mean it won’t work for you. You need totry, create a campaign with good words to cath the atention.

Oh, i almost forgot. I ask to adgridwork programmers to create more good looking banners. The ones that are available to us are a little bit ugly.

Wordpress Plugins that im using.

I decided to let you know what wordpress plugins im using in this blog.

1 - All in one SEO and Headspace 2 : these two plug ins allow you to turn your blog a little bit more friendly. Both help you creating tags for your post so that you can have your post easily spidered by search engines. Google indexes my post in a matter of an hour!

YOu can download them here:

All in one SEO

Headspace 2

I prefer Headspace2 but, the two complement wach other. I did a review of headspace here.

2- Feedburnersmith: It is a plugin from feedburner to track your rss feeds. It is pretty useful and can help you show your visitors how many rss subscribers you have.

3- Buy me a beer: Well, i thins this is a funny plugin! You make a post and then below it shows a phrase created by you that ask you to donate for the blog. IN my case, i ask you to by me a beer (paypal donation) if you like the post.

4- Do follow: All my links “Do follow”! What does this mean? If you coment here and get your coment approved then when a search engine indexes my page it will go to your link and indexes it as well. It is my way to thank to all my blog posters. :)

5- Instant upgrade: This plugin allows you to instantly upgrade your wordpress version. Pretty useful.

6- Popularity Contest: This will enable ranking of your posts by popularity; using the behavior of your visitors to determine each post’s popularity. It also gives you some interesting statistics of your blog topics.

7- Share this: This plugin allows the visitors to share posts by email or by any social bookmark like digg, stumbleupon, del.icio.us. I recommend it.

8- Subscribe to comments: This is another usefull plugin, because it allows your visitors to keep track of any comments made after their comment, by sending a notification email.

There is also Adman, that im not currently using but it is usefull t ouse with google adsense. IT helps you place adsense code inside your posts. There are better plugins for this though, but i will let that for another post, because there are some plugins that i want to try.

To produce scripts like these you won’t need a degree, but having some formation will help you construct better scripts:
1z0-042, certification exam provides all essential IT solutions for IT organizations by developing the knowledge of IT professionals. 350-030, certification exam provides all necessary training and knowledge for IT professionals. 640-863, certification exam helps the candidates to develop their professional skills in designing for Cisco Internetwork Solutions. 642-432 helps the candidates to become Cisco IP Communication Support Specialist. 642-523, certification exam is supportive certification to develop the skills of cisco firewall specialist. The Building Converged Cisco Multilayer Switched Networks, 642-812 is very indispensable exam to qualify CCNP exam. The Building Scalable Cisco Internetworks, 642-901 is taken as qualifying exam of CCNP, Cisco Certified Network Professional.

Creating mini sites with hyperVRE - Phase 1

Posted by admin On October - 9 - 2007

In this summer i have mentioned a software that creates mini sites easily, but i never showed you live content created by hyperVRE.

I haven’t used it yet to publish mini-sites, but now i have decided to do a little test on hypervre using the free version available. The test will consist mainly in creating 3 different mini sites, one with an .info domain, and the other 2 using sub domains of the dahh.net domain.

So after thinking a little bit the 3 sites i will create are:

1st: real estate;

2nd: cars

3rd: hair loss

Notice that the first 2 are difficult niches to get an high ranking in search engines, and the third one is a little better but not much. i want to see how well hypervre does in this aspect.

Using the free version has some disadvantages in getting articles, and it seems to be somewhat very slow gathering them. but after a few minutes of patient you can have a real live mini-site working.

So after a few minutes the results are these:

www.procurarcasa.info

www.cars.dahh.net

www.hairloss.dahh.net

has you can see, the software fails to create proper links. this could be a real pain in the ass, because if you want the site to be fully functional you will need to edit by hand all pages…. this can take to much time. The procurarcasa.info is working well because i tokk some time to manually edit all links…:(

I will give some time to let the search engines index the sites, but the question is: will they index the sites the way i wanted? because most content comes from articles, and it is more likely to be a very repeated article, and google specially, does not like to index replicated content… Let’s see how this will work.
