More than a month ago i was wondering if USFreeAds was really worth it, and it is time to show you the results.
As you can see in the title, my experience was a complete failure.
It was a failure indeed. But way?
During the month this experiment took place i wrote classified ads according to some rules:
- Wrote some articles with no preoccupations what so ever on quality content;
- Wrote articles where i have put effort on writing quality content;
- Did a mix of classified ads like the previous 2 points but with images;
After publishing the classifieds ads, i immediately saw traffic reaching them, evenly distributed. I first thought that this might get interesting in the following days…
But… how i was wrong….
Traffic:
After a few days the traffic nearly stopped. I was getting around 1-2 new visitors a day until no one more came visiting the classified ads.
My best performing ad curiously was on that was poorly written, and even that ad could not reach 50 page views.
Other ads got around 20-30 visits. Which is to damn bad.
Google Traffic:
Google found no problem on indexing my classified ads, but none were from usfreeads. They were all pages from other partner sites. Usfreeads pro members have that “advantage” to have their classifieds propragated to several dozens sister sites…
Some say, that classified ads placed there will rank better in search engine positions. Ok i believe that. But in my case that wasn’t truth. My sites ranked better than my classified ads. They ranked way better.
So usfreeads failed me to get:
- quality traffic;
- visitors to my sites;
- convertions from affiliate offers;
Final Considerations
I knew for start that im not good at doing this type of marketing. First because i was no expert, and second there are probably some things that i could improve next time i try this.
Next time, instead of placing 20-30 classifieds, i will place 50, and using variations, but all with calm. I can’t forget to see what needs improvement on each classified. I will do more research, read more, see more examples.
I know for sure, that i can’t give up on the first try, and this can serve as an example for you too. And besides. Just because i failed, it doesn’t mean you will fail too.
Think about it, and give it a try. The risk is low.
P.S: After the ads expire, there is a report that says how much the classified would cost if i runned it on a ppc campaign… It tells me that i saved around $200 using them…. Yeah… Right….
It’s nice to know that there are crappy ways of getting traffic, sorry you had to take that one for the team, but thanks for doing it so I won’t.

Well at least no-one can say you didn’t try Hugo, and it does also look like you learned from your experience. I have never bothered with placing any ads as I made myself a promise when I first got into blogging and that was that I would not spend any money on it other than what it would cost me for hosting and domain names.
Why? Because I wanted to see how far I could take it without spending more than was absolutely necessary. So far I am pleased with the results.

total visits i received to the sites i was promoting was 11!
I was promoting some sites that i own and some affiliate campaigns that produced me some revenue using other methods.
I feel strongly about it and love learning more on this topic. If possible, as you gain expertise, would you mind updating your blog with more good information
